RACHEL FRISK, LMT

I'm a gentle soul interested in helping people heal, reduce their pain, or simply relax. I received my education from the Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy in 2019. Since then, I have completed many continuing education workshops including Reiki I & II, and module one of SourcePoint Therapy®. I believe our physical body is deeply connected to our emotions, mind, and spirit, and it really takes looking at the full picture to get to the root of what ails us.

My interest in the healing arts began while I was experiencing high levels of stress in architecture school. I received my degree from UW-Milwaukee but quickly came to find my interests were more aligned with yoga, meditation, plant medicine, and human interaction. I attended the Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine in Portland, OR where I learned the physical, emotional, and spiritual healing properties of plants.

Why Red Alder?

Red Alder plant tincture was used in the first massage I ever received. I went on to work with this plant over the course of several months during my herbalist studies.  Part of the Birch family, it usually grows near rivers and streams, and is one of the first plants to emerge after forest trauma. It fixes nitrogen in the soil to provide a rich environment for other plants to grow. As a plant medicine, it helps our bodies establish harmony by reducing inflammation and pain, fighting infection, and promoting a healthy balance of nutrients.  This plant spirit is about giving abundantly, which is what I strive to do in my massage practice.
